I have been back since early Thursday Morning. I had to wait for almost an hour for my luggage. Got my car no problem from Park & Jet. Lots of ice on the windshield. So glad I have heated seats and a heated steering wheel. My hands were frozen thru my gloves. When I got home I turned on the heater in my bed. I turned up the heat in my place. I just couldn't get warm! The flight from PVR was on a huge plane. The Air Conditioning worked over time and I think that's why I was so cold! I had on my Puffer jacket, a sweater, jeans and hiking boots and I was freezing! Catching the next plane it was warmer but still I was cold. On the flight from PVR there was a medical emergency and we all had to wait for the EMT to come get the passengers before we got to leave. Going through Immigration was totally different then any I had ever done before and if I knew what to expect I don't think I would of been so freeked out. But it all worked out I had to go through security again which didn't make much sense but they don't have it that one stays in a security area while changing planes. My plane was scheduled to leave and when I found the gate and went up to the team, they checked my name off their list. They were looking for about 10 people who were arriving on my flight from PVR. Hopefully everyone caught the flight.
I have been cold since I got home and can't seem to get warm. Tried the hot tea, hot shower and I guess I just need to get climatized. I left one of my parkas at work so today when I go back will get it and wear it home. When I went out yesterday evening I wore my long parka so didn't really suffer. Bought a few pairs of shoes while there and some Bras. Just need to wash them before wearing them. Bought Miles a few T shirts so need to get them off before I forget I have them.
Lots of snow here and it doesn't look like it's going anywhere fast!
Hugs Kathy

Kathy, sounds like you had a good trip except for the traveling. Traveling just isn't the least bit fun anymore.
In the last couple of days we had a enough sun that the several of the daffodil bunches popped. It's been so cold here I thought they would never bloom. After a few days of sun, just to let us know it still exists, it began raining again this afternoon. No freezing temps tonight, but tomorrow night it looks like we'll have them again.
Teresa, I love your photos of Chibs. He has such a great personality. The looks he gives you when it doesn't get it way or you won't do something he wants to do are priceless.
Have you heard anything from Ginny lately? Sure do miss her posts.
Time to close, I'm headed for bed. My usual Monday starts early.
Take care and have a good week, Judy

I had a weird phone call last week. I answered my Landline and a girl said Hi Grandma. I talked to her for about 5 minutes and didn't give her any information. I kept asking her what her name was and she kept saying Grandma, you know my name. At the end of the call she said that the reason for her call was to tell me that I was going to be a Great grandma. Lucy was born in 2007 so it could be true I guess. I couldn't get hold of my Son, but the other one said it sounded like a scam which it probably was. I really didn't give any information out. She said I was rude. I had only been up for 15 minutes when I got the call. Then after that call about 15 minutes later I got a call saying my VISA card had been blocked and I needed to call a 1866 number. I didn't get that number written down but I did call the 1800 number on the back of my card. VISA said there wasn't any problems with my card.
It's warmed up here and the snow is slowly melting. Doesn't really mean anything as it could turn cold and the snow could fall!

Kathy, that does sound like a weird phone call, and quite likely a scam, especially after the Visa card email. It is just amazing how many emails I get telling me all sorts of things. Lately it's been I've got a UPS or USPS package that can't be delivered. When I check the email return address, it's obvious it's not from either UPS or USPS. I try very hard to be smart about my information.
It looks like I might end up doing something I thought I would not do, work on a book about the Courthouse. However, it's going to be a different kind of book than the one that was originally planned. The best part is I will be working with someone. And great news she is a historic preservation person and her background is in historic architecture...definitely not my area of expertise. I suggested we change the book from a straight history to stories about the Courthouse and there are many. I'm looking forward to hearing more about the Courthouse ghost. Jill does our Courthouse tours and she worked in Elections office for 20 years which was located in the Courthouse. I know who the ghost is believed to be and his story is so sad.
I have WW weigh in Saturday. I am over my goal, but not by much; however, I'm sure I won't be making it this month...maybe next. Teresa, I agree that it's difficult to REALLY get back on track. I miss getting points for recording my food. I didn't really want a prize, it just gave me an incentive to track. By the way, Teresa, when I see the food you fix, I wished I lived at your house.
Hope you are doing well. Take care, Judy

I have been procasting about my 5 lower teeth I did have an estimate and it was 4500 to kind of save them. That was between lock downs then I forgot about them. They are or have turned black and I realize that I need to deal with them. I went to one place and he quoted $15000 for 4 implants and removable and a new denture. I'm not too sure what else was included as I have to find the quote. I phoned a place I got in the mail and have an appointment Friday morning so will get an nonbiased opinion and may be wiser.
My cousin who was 71 died of complications of Covid in November/December. He had had a double lung transplant in 2007 and was getting frailer but was still very active. He was at Disneyland when he became ill and they ended up airlifting to Vancouver. They put him on life support and then his family and doctors decided to let him go. They are having a memorial get together on April 22 in Victoria. I found a return fare for less then $150. I can't bring anything than a backpack that will fit under the seat. All the other flights were over $350. I got an inexpensive hotel not far from my son's and I just have to book a place for my car at the airport. My sister is trying to do the cheap stay at the Senior place that He lived at. My cousin who is flying from Edmonton said that since it wasn't offered to her she isn't going to ask. It would of been nice if they had given us an idea when they might have this memorial as there was seat sales up to the beginning of March with some ridiculous prices but when one doesn't know the dates or have any places to go it doesn't really matter.
It's foggy and my phone is saying it's -3C. Yesterday it was 10C and was beautiful. My light on my tire pressure finally went out when I was driving to get it looked out. I'm hoping it's the last of that light. I have put a tire pressure gauge on my Amazon order\wish list. When I have enough for a prepaid shipment then I hit the send buttong. My youngest son is coming to visit me for Mother's Day. I booked the Saturday and Sunday off as he will be leaving Sunday afternoon and I will get to spend some quality time with him.
I have a list of things I need to get done. so had better get to it.
Hugs Kathy

Sorry I have been MIA. I guess I post on facebook and call it good.
Today a really big Rottweiler flipped me. It was quite a shock. I landed on my shoulder, side and hip area, I am lucky I didnt land on my head. Thankfully I was able to get up with out making a total ass out of myself. I am pretty sore but thankfully nothing is broke or torn or pullled, that I know of. But I am pretty stiff. The dog is a good dog, but he is huge and doesnt see boundaries. My dog didnt care at all that I was on the ground, his only concern was to make sure that dog didnt get his ball.
My cardiologist left, I need a new one but they set me up with a practitioner and that does not work for someone with PH and a VSD. I am working hard to get back on track and trying to undo the damage I have done. It is so easy to fall back into bad habits and harder to stop them. I am fighting the sugar cravings, they can be pretty bad.
We are warming up some, but lots of wind and some rain.
Tomorrow we are all going to the church to pick up poop. The church is having their Easter program sunday on the field and we want to make sure the field is nice and clean for the kids. We are calling it a poop party, haha.
Judy, I hope we can get together sometime this summer.

It's Thursday and I have to work at 4am tomorrow til 12:30p. Come home finish packing my backpack and drive to the airport for 4:30p. My flight leaves around 6:30 so I should be there in plenty of time. I was searching on line and if I don't prepay my parking I can get a Senior's rate of 10% so that's what I'm going to do. My flight is $118.08 return my seat cost $10.50 and my hotel is around $116. a night plus the taxes. I was looking for some travel size containers at a Drug store and I asked the clerk if there was any small sizes other then what was at the travel section which has a very poor selection. she said look there as that's where the travel size is only. I had more service from another customer then from the employee. I found some Aveeno moisturizing lotion 71ml size and the price was good buy one get one FREE!. Hope it works. I went to that dentist and I kind of wasted a few hours. She was hopeless but did refer me to another clinic for April 30. Will see what they come up. I need to get these teeth looked after before I Cruise in July. I went to another Dental clinic and the guy thinks he can save my teeth and possibly crowning them in the future. They might last another 10 plus years, hopefully. I am still going to see the guy on the 30th but if I can keep them I think that's the way to go. Have no idea what I'm going to do. My oven has been showing a F10 error. I phoned an appliance repair and he said it was $124 Service charge and he thought it was a part that was $950 plus tax and was out of stock. That's $1080.02. A new range is between $1200- $1700. I have been using my Micowave Convection Bake/Roast to cook food instead of trying to use the oven. Works okay. Teresa hope you're feeling better. When we fall it's a long way down to the ground.
I had better get to bed. Still don't know what I'm wearing. I am going to take my hiking boots to wear with shoes in my bp. That way if we do some walking I won't have sore ankles. Have no idea what's happening so I guess I'm winging it.
Hugs Kathy

It's been a while, and I apologize. I need to check the thread more often.
My trip to Arizona to visit my daughter was great until the last day. I ended up in the hospital with what turned out to be Norovirus, a super contagious disease. Fortunately, (or should I say unfortunately), only my daughter got a mild case. My son-in-law and grandson missed it--thank heavens! While I was there they discovered my oxygen levels went too low at night so they kept me for two more days until I insisted on being discharged so I could go back to Oregon.
I got a good report from the doctor and am signed up for the Sleep Clinic. Hopefully, it was the Norovirus that compromised my lungs and I am doing okay, now. The problem is my energy level is really low, and while it's getting better, it's going to take a while.
Have been playing catch up since I got back. And, I think, I'm almost caught up.
Hope you are doing well, take care, Judy

Judy, I know what you mean by Playing catch up. I've been doing that since my trip to Victoria. I don't think it was the trip but the flight home that did me in. Being 3.5 hours late and then going to work on less then 45 minutes of crashing does not do the body justice. My sleep pattern is possibly getting back to my normal. I seem to be sleeping longer on days off but still having an issue of getting to bed so I get 8 hours of sleep. Maybe by setting an alarm may work. My wrist is hurting and am waiting on an ultrasound to see what's going on. I'm going to phone the Plastic Surgeon who did my gangland surgery in the 90's and see if I can see him. I bought a splint that's a little longer as it will give the arm and wrist some support. I had to take my Mexico ring off my middle finger as my fingers are swollen. talking to my sister who had Carpel tunnel she said her fingers never swelled up, her wrist just hurt. I may of found someone to share my cabin on the cruise. Just have to work out the details. The Gang has never met the person and I think it might be a good idea for V & G to meet them.
We've had temperatures in the high 20's C. I turned the furnace off as it was so hot in here. Today I turned the furnace back on as the high was only 12C. Quite a change. It's suppose to get back in the mid to high 20's next weekend. Trying to figure out where I can be taken for dinner next weekend. I really don't go out that much so it's been a lot of surfing on the net.
Hope everyone is safe and staying healthy!
Hugs Kathy
