I discovered this September thread when I logged on—I don’t see my last post, which I thought was in September, but I’ve never read any of these posts.
I had to laugh at Teresa’s description of Chibs leaping on the hood of her car. Apparently he knows her limits and that he has a good home. The picture of your fruity dessert is very appealing. Yum! Your weight loss is spectacular. I am so envious of your results and your determination. And so nervous about my upcoming dr. appt. and what she is going to say about my non-progress.
Judy, hope you have both a whale and an eagle sighting! I’ve been places where you were supposed to see whales during migration, but have never been lucky enough to see one. We have had a family of eagles in Dayton for about 3 years or so. Never seen one of them, other than in photos, either. I’m sure the meals Terri prepared for you were better than the restaurant, and especially take-out! I have never participated in septic tank cleaning, but we did have one when we first bought the house. Fortunately, we were able to go on the city’s sewer system after a few years. Much less to think about. Your quilt Challenge sounds like it will be interesting, but even more interesting for me would be the picking out of the fabrics. I love that part. So sorry to hear about your brother Robin’s illness with Covid. I’ll put him and Carol on my prayer list. Even though I’ve had both shots, I haven’t gotten the booster yet. Just when I begin to feel more comfortable it seems to flair up somewhere and scares me back into my home yet again. Not that I go much of anywhere, even so.
Kathy, is the Big Bird Yellow going to remain? I think you will like the shower curtain rod with the bend in it. Why does everything get rusted? Is your vent fan not working? I put my tp in a drawer next to the toilet—works for me. I also fall asleep watching TV and wake up and “go to bed” when it is almost time to get up. Hey! what a surprise, I actually was able to open up the whale video. I’ve always wanted to see it “live” but haven’t managed to do so.
The status on my new deck: not much. They managed to tear out the old one. drilled 6 huge holes around the perimiter of the concrete slab, mounded up tons of earth from the holes, which means I can no longer get out the patio door. This is added to hardly being able to get out of my driveway, since a good half of it is filled with supplies for the new deck. The person who gives approval on work done was here yesterday, and said “OK”. So now the contractor can continue. Slow work. I would never have gone ahead with this if I had been able to foresee the progress, or lack of …. the contractor still can’t find warm bodies to work along with him.
Well, enough of my whining and complaining. Have a good day all,
Hugs,
Ginny
