We have been foggy cold for days, the trees stay frosted all day long. My bones and muscles just stay pained and freezin.
I have a cardiologist appt tomorrow. I am not looking forward to it. I actually gained about 5 pounds from my last visit. I should have went the other way. Oh well, it is what it is and I will be on the down swing again soon enough when the weather changes....I hope.

January 26 would of been my Dad's 105 Birthday. Hard to believe he's been gone for 24 years. some days it feels like yesterday. I went and got a cream for my face. Looks much better; not so itchy. Have no idea where the rash came from. The Dr. told me to wear disposal masks for the while. So have been doing that and having a hard time keeping them up. Have 3 days off in a roll. I spent the day cleaning my oven. I wiped out the big spills and turned it on. The cycle lasted 3 hours then had to wait for it to cool off. I wiped and scrubbed the racks and got almost all the yuck off. They are shiny and clean. I can't remember the last time I cleaned the oven. I cooked something in the oven last week and when I opened the oven smoke poured out so I guess it was time. There wasn't that much spilled in the bottom so don't really know what was causing the smoke. I do have a very sparkling oven and the top of the stove is shiny too. Now to wipe out the microwave and clean off the island. I would like to get it all done so I can do something outside before the cold weather returns. Bottles and papers are on the list too!
I poked myself in the eye this evening. It sure hurts. I can't see anything red or anything but it is tender. I lend over my plant to water it and didn't notice a stem sticking out and not wearing glasses it poked me. So I guess a trip to the eye doctor needs to be put on the agenda.
Need to get to the basement and get it done! I need to quit procrastinating and finding other things that need to be done!
Haven't been to any restaurants since before Christmas. I have bought food to eat but it's just food from Safeway to heat up or consume right away.
Need to fill up my vehicle and drive through the carwash before that cold weather comes as my car is dirty and I'm getting dirty walking by it.
Have a new Great Great nephew. He's my niece's son's son. He's in the North Dakota.
Hope everyone is safe and healthy!
Hugs Kathy

We have had three sunny days in a row. Such a nice change from the fog and overcast skies (stagnation according to the weather report). Apparently the air is still "stagnate", but somehow the sun has managed to shine through. I was happy to have a Frostgard for my windshield this last week when I got up to go to my early morning exercise.
It turns out my block for the raffle quilt was okay. I guess I wasn't the only one who had some issues. I finally finished my first attempt at a pot holder. I pretty sure I learned a few things along the way so I hope the next one will be better.
I discovered on Thursday when I was trying to open an account on my computer that I need for class that all the time I should have been using a borrowed computer from LBCC (community college). I shouldn't be using my personal computer. I spent almost an hour and a half with Classroom Support trying to get the app on my computer before they told me I really needed to borrow a computer. The end result is that on Monday I have to go to LB to pick up my computer and then in the afternoon I'll meet with a computer "guru" at the Benton Center (satellite of LB) to help me get set up. I was surprised when I was told during the marathon session that they preferred their off-campus instructors to use LBCC equipment. I think since I had been using my computer from early days virtually, no one ever thought to mention it, or another possibility is that my supervisor isn't aware of this "suggestion."
Teresa, how did your appointment go. I, too, am having problems with pounds. I am a few pounds above goal, and I just haven't had much energy to change that. My weigh in is next Saturday, so I need to pay attention this week.
By the way, if you want to watch a feel-good movie, you might enjoy "Hunt for the Wilderpeople." It is filmed in New Zealand, and in addition to it being a good movie the scenery is stunning. A friend invited me for lunch and we watched this movie on Netflix.
News is about to come on, so I need to move. I read my news on my computer, I don't like to watch it on TV. So often the reports are shorthand, or it's not really news, but the reporter's opinion.
Kathy, I hope the cream solves your rash. It must be so frustrating that it is probably related to wearing your mask. Also, hope your eye is okay.
Have a good weekend. Take care. Judy

January 2019 compared to January 2022. My oxygen levels without the assistance of oxygen. I am still amazed that I can breathe again. Doc visit was great but lab results were not as good as I had hoped but I think I can turn it around.

I scratched the cornea. The lesion was starting to heal by the time I saw the eye Doctor Saturday at noon. I have antibiotic drops (1x a day) and a drops to help with the pain (4x a day) I go back and see him on Wednesday to make sure the eye is healing. If everything is fine then I will have my annual checkup if not I will have to come back for that visit. My eye is sore but not like it was yesterday. Sure put a damper on my plans for the weekend. I put the drops in and had a nap or two.
I made a spreadsheet for ordering supplies for making labels. The last few orders have had errors in them. I don't place the order on the computer someone else does but it's my fault that the wrong stuff comes in. I'm sure they are ordered wrong but I can't say anything as it's my fault the wrong stuff came. So I am adjusting the spreadsheet and will email her the new sheet. Hopefully it will help with the errors.
The weather is suppose to change for winter weather. We've had plus weather and it's been nice. With the new Carbon Tax that they've (Federal Government) has decided we need to help with the environment my Natural Gas Bill has gone up more then $75.00, that was for December 2021. Makes one wonder what things are going to cost in 2022?
I too, am having trouble with the scale. I seem to like stuff that's not really friendly to the scale.
Had better get to bed as morning is going to come pretty fast.
Hugs Kathy

Teresa, it's wonderful that your oxygen levels are so much better. And, I'm sure you can turn your lab results around. You have really been changing your lifestyle. By the way, your posts of your meals on FB make my mouth water. If we lived closer, I'd hire you as my cook.
Kathy, hope your eye heals quickly. What a crazy accident, and I can understand how it could happen.
Our weather is still frosty, but warmer...the rain has returned, but the sun shows up more often than it did when it was foggy and overcast for days!
Hope you all are having a good week.
Take care, Judy

Brody turns 20 years old today. Can you believe it? His birth kind of marks how long we have all been friends too.
He is pretty amazing

It is amazing that Brody is 20. Time flies!!! He is one very smart fellow. I remember that Brody and Logan were a lot a like when they were young. Both of them were bigger than most of the kids the same age so people always expected them to act older. They were three and looked like they were five.
I joined the group when you were pregnant with Brody, but you, Ginny, and Kathy were part of a group already. We've lost a few folks along the way, but I'm so glad we've stuck together. We've been through a lot.
Hope he had a good birthday. I wish I'd been there for the red velvet cake dessert.
Take care, Judy

Judy, I had a doctors appt in Sisters on Brodys birthday and the whole thing included a lot of waiting, too much waiting. All I wanted was to be home. I texted Brody several times and my last text to him I told him how frustrated I was with the waiting and how my head was going to explode from waiting. Smart ass guy sends me a text back and all he said was "have you tried waiting faster?" I laughed too loud in the doc waiting room, people all looked at me.

Teresa, I know you love Brody's sense of humor. He definitely has some great one-liners. They always make me smile.
The fog burned off early today and there is actually sun. I'm so glad to see the sun, we've gone through a lot of overcast, grey days since Christmas.
Well, sadly I had to pay this month. I was over.6 when I weighed in at WW. I'm sure by the time I weigh in next month I'll be at goal again. I just haven't done very well since Christmas.
The last couple of weeks have been especially sad for me. It was my son's birthday on January 28 and that always has me thinking a lot about him. Then last week I got word that my dear friend who lived in Bandon passed away. She led a truly wonderful life and she was not young almost 92, but I truly thought she would go on for years. I will miss her so much. She was the link with our folks generation--her folks and mine were great friends. She knew all the stories.
Hope everyone has a good week. I'm working on being positive. Take care, Judy
