Today was beautiful. We got to 72 degrees. Yesterday I deep cleaned my whole house, nice weather and a clean home. Doesnt get any better. Of course today I can barely move. Rotating my big mattress was a little rough.
I have a pulmologist appt monday. I am struggling with the weight thing. I am still eating healthy except for last night, we got McDonalds, after cleaning for hours I was not cooking. I gues my whole problem is portion control and late night eating, I seem to get hungry around 9 pm on. I am hoping I can get my act together.

Happy Valentine's Day!
I have no plans for anything on Valentine's Day except doing what I usually do. My Secret Sister from the quilt guild sent me a little candy. I tried to spread it out, planned to eat a little bit every day, and, you guessed it, ate it all yesterday. I apparently zero will power.
Our weather has been quite pleasant. Our temps didn't get as high as yours, Teresa, but we did get to the mid-60s. I have to keep remembering it is FEBRUARY! My daffodils seem to think it's time to grow. They aren't blooming, but they are sticking their leaves up above the ground. I hope they don't freeze. My daughter has invited me to go to the coast the last weekend of February. I hope we still have good weather.
Not much has been happening around here, but I thought I'd stop by and say, "hello". Hope everyone is doing well.
Take care, Judy

My Valentines plans are a appointment with the pulmonologist. I picked up dead weeds out of my yard today and we played hard at the church.
I have 0 will power too, Judy. I have discovered that I absolutely love the Dannon light and fit greek yogurt strawberry cheesecake flavor. It tastes sinful.
So far it is quiet in my neighborhood on this superbowl sunday. I dont watch any more but I try to stay off the roads because of all the soon to be drunk drivers.
Happy Valentines Day

Had a Cortisone shot in my left shoulder. The pain was getting out of control! Went to the U of C clinic and the guy suggested that I get another shot and try some exercises. Have the picture I have to download and will do them in a few days. I had the day off and did nothing then washing a load of clothes and talking on the phone. Am off to work tomorrow then in the afternoon I get my eye checked out. If everything is fine then he will do the yearly check up.
Woke up to snow on the roofs and on the driveways. They cleaned the driveways and it snowed again.
Am trying to loose those pesky pounds that keep coming back and haunting me. If the Wedding hadn't been cancelled I would be travelling next weekend. My girlfriend is going on a Cruise, the theme is Star Trek. Her and Ken are going on the Cruise. Hope they have lots of fun and no illness. Her sister just got her boot cast off and so is almost back to normal.
My face broke out and it has sores and redness. I got some cream from the Dr but it doesn't really help. It's only where the mask sits. According to the internet the rash will take about weeks to disappear.
My son who had COVID says that he has lost a lot of his muscles and he doesn't have the apply to train like he was doing before he got sick. He gets tired easy and it's depressing.
No news from Europe which I never expected to get aways.
I bought myself a bracelet that has a magnetic closure and it's very different. Easy to get off when one figures how to undo it. That's what I got for Valentine's Day. No calories!
Hope everyone had a safe and happy Monday!
Hugs Kathy

This dog has got to come up with a better way to protect me. If he thinks there is a threat the first thing he does is lays directly across my chest and will not budge until he feels there is no threat. He weighs 70 pounds and for a breathing compromised person that is panic inducing. I have always said this dog is either going to help me or kill me and I think he is doing a little bit of both.
I have not been sleeping good or feeling all that well and yesterday I had a major down day, so we didnt go any where. Today we have to make up for that. Feeling back to normal today so I am happy about that.
I have gotten 6 of the 10 pounds off that I had gained back. Feeling really relieved. I am need to quit limping around this and get serious about getting the last 40 to 50 pounds off. Just do it for crying out loud.
We are supposed to be around 64 today so we will have good play time but later in the week they are saying snow. Why does Mother Nature have to crush my spirit that way?

Hello all, Sorry I’ve been absent for so long. I just haven’t felt like doing anything. I started a post about 2 weeks ago but something interrupted me, and I thought I lost it. Just accidentally found part of it, but it was so old I decided to throw it out and start over. The new computer I purchased about 6 months ago still mostly sits unused, I just can’t figure it out for the most part. I use it only to pay bills—which is why I bought it in the first place, my old Mac was so old it couldn’t be updated. So I am typing this on the old Mac. Can you get a pdf file or something like it online ? I just can’t figure things out without written instructions. Karen says you just have to play around to figure it out. Well, that works fine for her, but my brain never worked like that. I need to sit down and read. Any help? The last time I wrote/read Kathy was complaining about not having any winter weather, and I was going to tell her it was because it was all here. Well it is still all here, although it is unusual the was we have little spurts of Spring (tomorrow it is going to be in the 50’s) sandwiched in between mostly really nasty bouts of below zero. There was also a horrible ice storm. I’ve been trapped in my house for the most part. I went out one day to get a sandwich from Subway and had a fall on the way back to my car. One minute I was standing there trying to decide which way to get back to my car and the next I was sitting spread legged on my butt. Thank God two men came out and lifted me up—I truly don’t know how they managed, but they did. I didn’t break anything, but my head snapped back and hit the concrete. I had a lump the size of a jumbo egg, which a couple days of an ice pack took care of, although I still have some soreness. When I tried to eat my sandwich, my jaw felt like it didn’t align quite right, but it is ok now. I’m still limping a bit on my leg, but it is getting better too. But I am NEVER going out in any ice or snow again. Thank goodness for frozen meals.
I had to smile , Judy, when I read your tale of lack of willpower. But think of your story in the long haul—you are a real success story. I don’t know anyone else with a weight problem who has actually been able to keep it off over the years, even with occasional minimal strays which you always get rid of. You are my hero!!
Kathy, you must be much better at wearing your mask than I am—-although you work and that makes a big difference in how long you have to keep it on. I’ve had no problems with mine, but I just don’t go anywhere that it is mandatory, so I only wear it for church, and my hair and nail apps.,, and maybe if the grocery store is crowded I’ll put it on. I just have a cheap disposable mask that probably doesn’t do much good plus 3 shots and a booster, which is what I am really counting on in addition to not renewing my ballet tickets so I am avoiding crowds. But I hope the creams the doctor recommended for you work.
Teresa, my two cats lay across my chest the way you describe your dog doing—but I never thought that they might be trying to protect me. Fortunately, they only weigh about 25 lbs combined but even that is uncomfortable. Congratulations on getting off 6 of 10 pounds. You and Judy are both great. Hugs, Ginny

Ginny, so happy to hear from you. I am so sorry about your fall, those can be so scary. I hate ice for that very reason. We have had beautiful spring weather but winter is coming back next week full force, we will be below 0 and snow. I really hate that. As far as learning your computer, google it. You can get any help online for anything.
I am watching a movie called The War Bride, I didnt think I was going to like it but boy I got sucked in fast. I am liking it.
I made 2 ingredient dough caramel cinnamon rolls this morning. Completely sugar free and delicious

Ginny, sorry to hear about your fall. I had one in the garage in December and I thought I had done a number on my knee. I looked for a bruise but didn't find one, then awhile later I was creaming my legs and noticed that the knee and leg were yellow. I guess the bruise took awhile to appear then I only noticed it when it was yellow. It sure hurt and I was glad I landed beside the car otherwise I would of really made a mess. Didn't spill the coffee! I had the cortisone shot and my shoulder has settled down. My project today before I go to work is to get my island semi cleared off! I can't find anything and missed a Visa Payment. So had better get the mess cleared up! Expensive error! I am trying to figure out where I can go with my WestJet credit. I can only use it for one flight and if I want to fly to BC it isn't worth using.
The snow is falling and it it's only 4F while my phone says it's -17C. feels warmer in F. Am so glad I don't have to shovel the stuff. I noticed when the weather got warmer that it sounded like water running but since there was no moisture on the roof I haven't hear anything. Will have to pay attention and give the guy a call to come have a look. Can't see the top of the roof or the chimney as I'm not high enough to see.
S&L are feeling the effects of their Covid. He doesn't have the muscle power he had and no stability or strength.
Had better get to the Island!
Hugs Kathy

Ginny, I was really glad to see your post. We've missed you. I am sorry you are having so much trouble with your computer. Teresa is correct, Google has lots of help, but I totally get the paper instructions. I often print off the instructions I find online because I can't zip around from one screen to another like so many younger users seem to be able to do. I don't know what I would have done if I didn't have help for some of the things I am supposed to do for my online class. I really am on a first name basis with the I-T guys.
My Write Your Life Story class wants to do this next quarter via Zoom. The plan was to do it in person, but about half the class is not ready to take a chance on in person classes yet. We don't meet in the summer so maybe by fall we will be able to have in person classes.
We are due for another week of very cold nights again - time to turn on the outside faucets - Toby said he'd help me tomorrow. So sorry about your falls, Ginny and Kathy, I remember those icy periods when we lived in the Upper Peninsula. We only have them occasionally around here. I was always good for at least one pratfall each winter when lived up North.
I am looking forward to this coming weekend. My daughter, Bryn, is taking me to the Coast for the weekend. We are going to Florence. Usually we just go over the mountain to places around Newport. Florence is a little further south, and we don't go there as often so I think it will be especially fun.
Teresa, I'm glad you are going down again. I love seeing the food you post on Facebook. It makes me wish I liked to cook.
Kathy, I hope your rash is improving. I have been wearing the N95 or KN95 masks and I don't like them as well as the cloth masks. But they are safer...a much snugger fit.
Time to close I want to try to get to bed early this evening. I always have great intentions and then it doesn't happen.
Take care, Judy
