Hi all, starting a new thread.
A couple of days ago I took back the ASV. I told them how bad it made me feel and the lady at Lincare said they get a lot of complaints like that with the asv. I am glad I stopped before it did any real damage, I am hoping nothing that took place is permanent.
Been watching the johnny depp amber heard trial on tv, now that it is over I dont know what I am going to do with my life. We had massive rains yesterday and parts of Bends streets flooded. I hope the klamath basin got rain, the farmers really need it.
Another court appearance the 9th of June. I cant go because I discovered that the change in elevation makes me turn blue and not be able to breathe, I will have to do it over the phone. I doubt anything will be settled and we will have to fight it out in August. I certainly hope I am not living under a bridge by then.
I am trying to stick to higher protein and green veggies, trying to stay away from potatoes, pasta and bread. So far I am okay doing it. Having lots of veggie snacks with ranch made of low fat sour cream as the dip.
Ginny, where are you?

I am busy getting ready to go on my trip by figuring out what I need to take. I don't leave until the 13th, but I'm sure it will arrive more quickly than I expect. My class is over, but I've got several appointments before I leave. I also have to arrange to have the watering done while I am gone, and make sure the birds have plenty to eat. Fortunately, we've had some rain so I haven't had water very often. Thank heavens, Teresa, it was "reasonable" rain...not like Bend. I am very glad today is Friday. My monthly weigh-in is tomorrow and I hope I will be within goal parameters. At this point I think I'll be okay.
Teresa, I'm glad you don't have to go to Klamath Falls. I sure hope everything can be resolved. I hope the person who is being a special jerk has to pay the court fees. I'm glad you also are feeling better now that you are back on the bi-pap.
Teresa, remember to have some carbs, cutting them out completely is not a good idea.
Time to close for now. Hope everyone is doing well.
Take care, Judy

Hard to believe that in a week from tomorrow I will be on a plane for Boston. After I arrive I still have to make my way to Beverly, MA which is about 50 miles from Boston and the location of the conference I will attend. The time seems to have slipped by so quickly. I still have quite a bit to do before I leave, but I'm feeling positive about the progress I've made getting ready.
My weigh-in yester day went well, I was under goal by a very tiny bit, .2, but it was still a win for me. I've been in the 2 lb. zone the last couple of times I weighed in, so I was pleased by my weigh-in.
We had LOTS of rain yesterday, and today it has started out sunny. It would be nice if the weather continued to be sunny.
Have a bit more to do on the Round Robin quilt I got at the last round. This quilt is totally out of my comfort zone so it has been a challenging job to do my part before it it passed on tomorrow to another quilter. The quilt is intended to be a scrap quilt, and I am not a scrap quilt quilter, but what I ended up really enjoying was the construction of the scrappy blocks I made. It will be interesting to see what the owner of the quilt will do to finish it when she gets it back this summer.
Our flowers are/have been so wonderful. I think they really "pop" when the grass and new leaves are so green. The colors seem to be richer. The peonies were late this year and are just beginning to bloom. The iris blooms will soon be over. And the clematis has just begun blooming.
Time to close and work on the quilt. Hope everyone is doing well. Take care, Judy

Teresa, I went back and read through all your posts about the trial, but must have missed some. Why are you in court? Judy, your flowers are so far ahead of ours. I still have a bit of Allium left, but even it is turning brownish. It looked really pretty a week o so ago, especially next to the newest dogwood tree which was planted about 5 years ago. I can’t remember, did I tell you? It looked so pretty I took my camera out on the deck to take a better picture of them, and stupidly was paying more attention to the vew finder on my camera than where I was walking, and fell right off the top deck onto the lower one. Perhaps that wasn’t such a good idea, should have made it all one level. But I didn’t break anything, and the scabs on my knee have almost healed, and my shoulder finally doesn’t hurt any more. But it has made me leary about walking out on it, even though it was my stupidity not the deck's fault that I fell. Any rate, the only thing left blooming now are the Dogwood trees. I do love them because they last after every thing else is gone. Well, there are a few Shasta Daisies still in bloom but everything else is GREEN. Which is a pretty color, and much better than brown. Everything is LUSH and has grown so much from last year. Some years ago, I started to let the little redbuds come up pretty much where ever they wanted to, and then I pruned some of them out—they were taking over the whole place. But this year there are 2 or 3 redbuds which have gotten to a decent size and are pretty much just a few feet from the deck—which I think I really do like. About 10-15 years ago I did have a goal to establish a redbud woods and bring it up closer to the house. So I think I have met my goal. Kathy I wish I had the energy to do all the shows and things you talked about. The Ballet started up finally again this year, but I think I am not going. During the Covid stoppage, most of my favorite dancers dropped out, and the friend I used to go with hasn’t mentioned going. I haven’t priced watermelon here, but $12.00 for a watermelon ? A friend’s daughter, Sally, who must be 20 years younger than me, tripped and fell and broke her hip. She will be in the hospital a few more days and then has to go to a rehab since she lives alone. I am feeling really lucky that the same thing didn’t happen to me when I fell. Must be all the genes from my Hungarian peasant heritage Well, since my quiet life has gotten even quieter, I think I am out of stuff to tell. I’ll try to get on more often. Hugs to everyone, Ginny

Ginny, it is still over my mothers estate. Same old fight just a different year.
Yesterday one of Brodys finches became egg bound. She had never attempted to lay eggs before. I tried for several hours to save her. It was so heart breaking and Brodys heart is completely broken. It was the saddest things. Today her mate is crying for her, he has the most mournful cry. It is crushing my heart. Even Arthur is being nice to him and Arthur is never nice. Brody has one finch left and I have Arthur. No more birds ever again. I am done with birds. However, Arthur is going to outlive me.
I got the weedeater out, figured out how to use it and for two days did my place. I woke up in the morning wondering why I coudnt move my arms. Feels good to have it done and feels really good to know it is something I can do myself now. But wow, my arms really hurt.
This little itty bitty bird is breaking my heart, his cry is just so sad, so different from his normal chirps. Long and mournful, it would sound pretty if it wasnt so sad.

Teresa Who's making all the claims on your Mom's estate? Is it because they live in different States?
Have been trying without success in keeping my place tidy!
I am going to mark everyone's holidays down on my calendar and then I'm going to try and book some time off! I would love to go back to the island or even spend some time with my grandson. Or maybe just take my vehicle and drive in a direction and see where it takes me.
I bought next seasons tickets for Vertigo . The first play is in the fall not sure if it's September or October. Doesn't really matter it's an evening out. I bought the parking pass which is about the cost of taking the CTrain down town. One has the convenience of just getting in the car and going home, not having to walk to the CTrain and then waiting for it and then picking up one's vehicle at the station.
I want to buy some binoculars. Not a huge pair but ones that will fit in my car and when I see something in the distance I can get them out and look. Or I can have in the Condo and look out the windows and see the view downtown or in the distance. I am looking at putting a shelving unit in my Laundry Closet til I put my machines in there. Then they will go downstairs and the machines will come upstairs. I have everything piled in a pile and really can't find anything and don't know what I actually have. I am also thinking that I will get the "stuff" off the island and it will possibly have a home.
Teresa sorry to hear about the itty bitty birds, hope they are all feeling better.
My sister, her husband, and my cousin and wife are all flying to Edmonton from Victoria to see Garth Brooks. They got tickets and hopefully everything works out for them all. They are renting a car, staying in a hotel and my niece's husband is dropping and picking them up from the concert. I never even thought of trying to get tickets.
My cousin who lives in Edmonton daughter had a baby girl and they called her Lucy Zara Li. She is going to help out with the older 2 girls and then return to Canmore. She bought a Condo in Canmore last summer and splits her time between the 2 places.
It's 64F and feels a lot warmer then that. We had lots of rain earlier in the week but my flower garden is bone dry. The rain doesn't get into the garden. The grass is green.
Hope everyone is having a fun Friday!
Hugs Kathy

Very early tomorrow morning I leave on my trip. It has been sort of hectic getting ready. Of course, life like to send little challenges to make everything interesting, and yesterday it was our coffee maker. It decided to go on the blink. I did everything I could think of to make it work properly, but it wasn't having it, so I rushed out and bought a new one. I knew I couldn't leave without knowing that my husband could make his coffee. So far I like my old one better, but this one is okay.
Today, the suitcase is on the bed and I'm gathering all my stuff. Almost always I take too much and I imagine it will work out that way this time, too.
I have day of grace before the conference begins on Wednesday. I like to arrive a little early so I can rest and get used to the time change. One of my writing class classmates now lives near where the conference is being held so we are going to get together on Tuesday.
My computer is going with me, so if I actually have internet you probably will be hearing from me.
Time to get back to work, take care, Judy

It's Sunday Overcast and windy. I BBQ'd yesterday. I did chicken thighs. I mostly just put seasoning on them, a few I put sauce on. They were very tasty! I now have to bag them up and freeze them. The sad part is now I have to tidy the BBQ up and cover it up before I forget about it. The lower deck has a fine film of yellow stuff. I thought I could sweep it up but it doesn't help so out will come the hose to get rid of it. My nose has been running and itchy too.
Judy hope you have a great trip. Enjoy your visit with your friend.
I have to go to the stores today and look at binoculars and shelving units. I so need to get my island cleaned off! Got my hair trimmed yesterday. She didn't cut too much of the length which I am trying to grow longer. Then I will be able to ty it back or pull to the top of my head and twist and let it dry. When it's dry it will have waves that usually in the past last awhile. Will hopefully save some time. We got new uniforms (shirts) at work. They are like black golf shirts short and long sleeved. I have been told they really fit small. I went to get a medium and they only had large, so I will have to try it out. I have noticed that some of the girls who are wearing the new shirts are showing their signs of success which doesn't look that great. (they are showing their rolls of fat). One girl who tried on a Ladies 2XL or maybe a 3XL said it was short and was tight in the arms. She got a men's XL. Why is it that women will wear men's clothing but men won't wear women's?
When downstairs I tried to turn the stereo on to listen to the radio and couldn't get any sound. So back to the drawing board on that one. I think something might have come loose when they moved the componets to paint. Still have some dusting and wiping before I can sit and enjoy the room. It looks great!
I had better get moving or it will be time for bed!
have a great Sunday!
Hugs Kathy

The conference it is over. It was wonderful as usual, but in the future I would wish for fewer cemetery visits and more in person papers and workshops. This was a hybrid conference so a lot of the papers were given during the virtual part. After saying that I'm wishing for fewer cemetery visits, I'm sitting in my 12th story room at Moxy Downtown Boston and thinking about the Ghost Tour I signed up for this evening so I could see the historic Boston cemeteries where some of the "founders" are buried. I signed up for the historic tour NOT the vampire one.
I guess one would call my room "modern", there's lots of wood and leather. I took some photos so maybe eventually I can share them with Teresa and she can post them. Perhaps the most unusual item is the rectangular toilet...yep, you heard me, rectangular! One whole side of the room is a large picture window, floor to ceiling. I crept over and looked down ONCE, not doing that again!
After I checked in I went the Boston Museum Fine Arts Museum. I ate lunch and then spent a couple of hours in the Americas section. I also went to a special Frederick Turner exhibit. I'm getting two and from places using Uber and it's working pretty well. I'm learning things as I go along. Tomorrow I do a bus tour of Boston and then I'm done. Tuesday morning I fly to Tennessee to see my friend. I'm glad for the Boston experience, but I will be glad to go to Tennessee.
Probably one of the most surprising thing on this trip is the weather. I was expecting HOT, nope, we got Oregon weather, minus the rain until today. Then when it does rain, it's drizzle, it is cool. Last night I dreamed about my fuzzy coat in Oregon. The nights have been especially cool. We got extra blankets, but a couple of nights I've had to put my clothes on over my pjs. Jim told me it's been raining at home, but dryer weather is projected for next week.
Guess I'll close for now. Take care, Judy

hi all, I woke up with the worlds largest knot in between my shouder blades, oh my gosh, it makes moving or turning my head from side to side very painful. I dont know how I was able to sleep so weird to form this. Its an awful feeling.
My sister went to Montana to see cousins and celebrate my Aunts birthday. Now all of them have covid. My friend Diana who goes to my doc appts with me has covid as well. They are all pretty sick. My sister says she feels so bad and she is insisting I wear my mask again when i go shopping. I should but I dont want to. That sounds stupid I know.
We are finally getting some warm weather.
Nothing came of the last court case, well, that is not true, the other side showed their true colors and even the attorneys now know what we have been saying all along is true. We will be gearing up for a battle in court. Wont be August like it is scheduled because the other side has gotten it delayed again. I am trying not to think about it.

Just a quick note, my friends don't have their wifi hooked up yet so we are at the library so I could send an email for a fall class proposal.
It's been a good as well as interesting trip. It has been great to relax at my friend's. I go home on the 30th, so I'll check in again when I get back.
TERESA, AS MUCH AS YOU HATE IT---WEAR YOUR MASK!!!
Take care, Judy

It's cold here! I got up and turned the furnace on! I was freezing. My feet got cold and I put socks on and sleepers and it didn't help so I turned the furnace on! It was 25 C when I drove home on Thursday morning. I just looked on my phone and it's 9 C. Raining and there is some wind. Not too windy but there is wind and one can see the trees leaning so it's quite windy.
On Tuesday I was sitting in the Sunroom and it was nice and warm ( some say too hot). I fell asleep for a while got up and put my uniform in the washer and made some dinner. Then fell asleep again and woke up change the laundry and went to bed to get up at 3 am. Sleep pretty sound and got up and went to work. Then Thursday I had to be at work at 1 am and it was kind of easier getting up then, then getting up at 11 for midnight. Still awfully weird but it pays the bills. Yesterday I went to bed around 11 am and got up at 4 pm then back to bed at 11:30 I slept til 6:30 this morning. I am trying to get my island semi cleared so it looks like a human lives here with some organization skills. I put things on the island and I'm sure they multiply. I think I found a shelfing unit at IKA but I have to measure the door opening to see if I will be able to get it out when the time comes to removed it. I took copies of everyone's holiday schedules and now I just have to record them on my calendar so I can book my flights. I have the days that my son has his flex days so I'm thinking of the weekend of Sept 30. Westjet wants over $600 for flights which is outlandish!
I went and saw Buzz Lightyear. It's suppose to be a family movie and I was disappointed that one would let their small kids see it. To me it was more of an adult movie. But then I've been told I'm Old Fashion.
I finally got on my pc and now have to pay my bills.
Hope everyone is staying warm and dry!
Hugs Kathy
